Drie nieuwe programma’s voor studenten Japanstudies

Hier volgt een bericht namens dr. Ewa Machotka, gespecialiseerd in Art and Visual Culture of Japan, over drie nieuwe programma’s die zij komend jaar zal co√∂rdineren:

“1. “Artist in Residence Programme” for BA3 students – thanks to sponsors from JAPA, Cannon Foundation in Europe and Japan Foundation the students will have a chance to try their hand at painting in traditional Japanese style (and materials) and get university credits for it! The students will be supervised by Prof.Saito from Geidai (the most prestigious art school in Japan). Prof.Saito will spend in Leiden almost 20 days in September 2012 and will be co-teaching with me the BA3 focus seminar “Artist as Profession in Japan”.

2. Internships in Japan Programme for one-year MA students (60 ETC). The internships will last max 3 months. Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the University. The group of partner-institutions, which will receive our interns comprise of museums (including Manga Museum in Kyoto), governmental offices and private companies.

3. Scholarship to study art history at the Keio University in Tokyo – opportunity for two-year MA (120 ETC) and Res MA students. The scholarship from the Ishibashi Foundation is given for one year of study at the Keio University.”
